معرفی کتاب ((رقایم اقبال به عطیه بیگم

رقایم اقبال به عطیه بیگم، مکاتبات علامه محمد اقبال به عطیه بیگم فیضی است که توسط دکتر مظفر علی کشمیری ترجمه و توسط دکتر حکیمه دست رنجی ویرایش شده و در ۲۳۱ صفحه به خط رقعی در سپتامبر ۱۹۰۷ نوشته و در سال ۲۰۲۴ منتشر شده است. این نامه‌ها حاوی مسائل عاطفی، فکری و اجتماعی بسیار جالب و بکری در زندگی شخصی اقبال است که محققان حوزه اقبال‌شناسی در ایران از آن محروم بوده‌اند.

به همین دلیل، دکتر مظفر علی کشمیری این کتاب را به فارسی ترجمه کرد تا دوستداران اقبال در ایران و دیگر کشورهای فارسی‌زبان از بخش‌هایی از اندیشه‌ها و احساسات علامه اقبال و آرمان‌های تحقق نیافته او که در این نامه‌ها بیان کرده است، آگاه شوند و امکان ارائه درک واقع‌بینانه‌تری از جنبه‌های شخصیت علامه اقبال و احوالات او در طول حیاتش فراهم شود.

مترجم این کتاب مفتخر است که صفحه‌ای به کتاب بزرگ اقبال‌شناسی افزوده است. وگرنه، همانطور که علامه اقبال گفته است: «(آواز کجا و من کجا، ساز بهانه‌ها ایستاده است / شتر لجام‌گسیخته را به سوی قطار می‌کشم)» متن خاطرات و نامه‌های اقبال در اصل به زبان انگلیسی بود و بعدها به اردو ترجمه و به صورت جداگانه در هر دو زبان منتشر شد.

مترجم این کتاب، برای شروع این کار مهم، هر دو نسخه اردو و انگلیسی را مبنای کار خود قرار داد و بدین ترتیب کار ترجمه کتاب را آغاز کرد.

از آنجایی که او عضو هیئت علمی گروه فارسی دانشگاه بین‌المللی اسلامی است، در طول کار از راهنمایی‌های صمیمانه دکتر حسن بندری پور، رئیس گروه زبان و ادبیات فارسی دانشگاه بین‌المللی اسلامی اسلام آباد، بهره برده است. فصل آخر این کتاب شامل نامه‌ای دست‌نویس از اقبال به عطیه بیگم به زبان انگلیسی است.

از آنجایی که خط انگلیسی اقبال آنقدر ناخوانا است که همه نمی‌توانند آن نامه‌ها را بخوانند، او تمام نامه‌ها را با متن ساده نوشته‌ است تا خواندن آن برای خوانندگان آسان‌تر باشد.

شایان ذکر است؛ محمود علی انجم، خوشنویس، در رفع اشکالات به او کمک کرده و رابعه کیانی نیز به او مشاوره فرهنگی داده‌ است.

همچنین خانم حکیمه دست رنجی، ویراستار، نویسنده و اقبال‌شناس متخصص ایرانی، این اثر را با مهارت ویرایش کرده و آقای احسان خزاعی، رایزن فرهنگی جمهوری اسلامی ایران در پاکستان، امکان چاپ این اثر را فراهم کرده‌اند.

The book ((Riqaim Iqbal to Ruqayyah Begum))
Riqaim Iqbal to Atiya Begum is the correspondence of Allama Muhammad Iqbal to Atiya Begum Faizi, translated by Dr. Muzaffar Ali Kashmiri and edited by Dr. Hakimah Dast Ranji, written in 231 pages in a raqi style in September 1907 and published in 2024. These letters contain very interesting and untouched emotional, intellectual, and social issues in Iqbal’s personal life that researchers in the field of Iqbal studies in Iran have been deprived of it.

For this reason, Dr. Muzaffar Ali Kashmiri translated this book into Persian so that Iqbal’s lovers in Iran and other Persian-speaking countries would be aware of parts of Allama Iqbal’s thoughts and feelings and his unrealized ideals, which he expressed in these letters, and the possibility of presenting a more realistic understanding of the aspects of Allama Iqbal’s personality and his circumstances during his lifetime would be provided. The translator of this book is proud that he has added a page to the great book of Iqbal studies. Otherwise, as Allama Iqbal said, “(Where is the song and where am I, the instrument of excuses is standing / I pull the unbridled camel towards the train)”) The text of Iqbal’s memoirs and letters was originally in English and was later translated into Urdu and published separately in both languages.

The translator of this book, to begin this important task, took both the Urdu and English versions as a basis for his work and thus began the work of translating the book. Since he is a faculty member of the Persian Department of the International Islamic University, he benefited from the sincere guidance of Dr. Hassan Bandaripour, Head of the Persian Language and Literature Department of the International Islamic University, Islamabad, during the work. The last chapter of this book contains a handwritten letter written by Iqbal to Atiya Begum in English. Since Iqbal’s English handwriting is so illegible that not everyone could read those letters, he wrote all the letters in plain text to make it easier for the readers to read. It is worth mentioning that Mr. Mahmud Ali Anjum, a calligrapher, helped him in fixing the errors and Ms. Rabia Kiani gave him cultural consultations. Also, Ms.
Hakimeh Dast Ranji, an Iranian editor, writer and expert Iqbal scholar, skillfully edited this work and Mr. Ehsan Khazai, Cultural Advisor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan, made it possible to print this work.
